DESCRIPTION:Spring Clean-Up & Buy Nothing Week!\n\nMark your calendars for Saturday\, April 26th\, from 9:00 AM to noon\, for the annual Spring Clean-Up &  *NEW* “BottineauNothing” Week!  This event is a fantastic opportunity for neighbors to come together\, beautify our community\, and embrace a more sustainable way of  \nBottineau-Nothing Week  “Shop the Boulevards”This year\, we’re adding a unique twist\, “Shop the Boulevards”: from April 20th to 26th\, residents are encouraged to put out unwanted items (in good condition\, of course!) on the boulevards for their neighbors to “shop.” This is a chance to give your gently used items a second life and reduce waste while connecting with your community.  Please move any remaining items to your regular trash area before 9am on Saturday April 26 for pick up. \nTrash PickupAll trash items should be placed by your regular trash pick up area by 9:00 AM on Saturday\, April 26th. Yard waste\, hazardous waste\, liquids\, dirt\, mattresses\, and box springs will NOT be collected. \nVolunteers Needed!Volunteers are crucial to the success of this event. If you’re interested in helping\, please meet at Gluek Park at 8:45 AM on April 26th. We’ll be picking up trash and assisting with city trucks. An interactive map of the water service line inventory can be viewed on the City’s website. This year the city began proactively replacing lead service lines at no cost to the homeowner.  This effort will continue until every lead service line in the city is replaced (replacement requires the property owner’s consent). The City is replacing lead service lines failures on a complaint driven basis. If there are any mechanical failures or leaks to your lead service line you should reach out to 311 and the Water Department will help you replace the line. \nWhat you can do: \n\nVisit the city’s website to see if your home has a lead service line.\nRequest a free lead testing kit.\nReduce your lead exposure:\nLet the cold-water faucet run until you feel that the water is as cold as it will get.\nRun the water for 2 -3 minutes if you have a lead waterline.\nIf you need hot water\, heat it after it comes out of the faucet.\nUse only cold water for drinking\, cooking and baby formula.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:National Night is August 6! \nNational Night Out is on August 6 this year. The annual National Night Out (NNO) is an evening of community-hosted block parties that unite neighbors and strengthen their sense of community. \nIf you’re hosting a block party this year\, contact us (the Bottineau Neighborhood Association)\, before and after your event to get reimbursed up to $100 for eligible outreach materials\, excluding food and entertainment.   Eligible materials could include paper plates\, napkins\, balloons\, flyers\, etc. Register your party by July 30th on the city’s website. \nEmail bna@bottineauneighborhood.org for more info.

The new material will increase VOC and PM\, PM10\, PM2.5.    \n\n Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT)\n\nMNDOT is asking for community feedback about proposed changes developed based on recent studies\, This input is needed to understand what improvements should be made to University Ave. N.E.  The goal for this phase of the project is to create one proposed design layout for University Ave. N.E. Once developed\, MnDOT and local partners will seek funding to make road improvements.
