1. Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MNPCA) – Permit Changes

Innovent Air Handling Equipment (60 28th Ave N) applied to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to amend their existing air quality permit. Innovent proposed changing the material used in its spray and coating booth. The new material will increase VOC and PM, PM10, PM2.5.   

2. Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT)

MNDOT is asking for community feedback about proposed changes developed based on recent studies, This input is needed to understand what improvements should be made to University Ave. N.E.  The goal for this phase of the project is to create one proposed design layout for University Ave. N.E. Once developed, MnDOT and local partners will seek funding to make road improvements. This project is currently planned for 2027.

Summary of work

• Repave University Ave. between Central Ave. and just south of 27th Ave. NE
• Update sidewalks, intersections and crossings to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
• Repair drainage
• Other improvements to be developed during the project’s public engagement and design process
• Replace guardrail
